Nov 21st - Cindi Fuja

Leveraging Linkedin for the Professional Job Search

Are you looking to expand your professional network?
Do you want to have potential employers check YOU out?

Cindi Fuja, Graduate Career Consultant (Graduate Career Services) for the College of Engineering Graduate Career Services will present a hands-on/active training session to show you how to make the most of your LinkedIn profile!

For those who don’t know, LinkedIn is one of the largest professional networking sites with over 170 million users. It's described as a "professional Facebook" and your profile is a place to showcase your education, experience, and achievements. It’s easy to create a LinkedIn profile, but distinguishing yourself from other professionals takes time and effort.

Since a LinkedIn profile is basically an online résumé, you'll also benefit from the workshop if you want résumé writing tips.   You will learn what to showcase and what not to bother with—ensuring that your Linkedin Profile not only impresses future employers but establishes your personal brand.

If you're interested, we'll also have a photographer available from 4:30 to 5:30 pm after the workshop to take your LinkedIn headshot so remember to dress professionally--at least from the waist up!
