Chen Receives NSF Research Grant

Virginia Watterson • DATE: June 14, 2016

Professor Danny Chen received a three-year NSF award of $450,000 from the Algorithmic Foundations (AF) core Program of the National Science Foundation, for a project titled "AF: Small: Algorithms in Computational Geometry and Medical Applications."  This project will seek to develop new geometric computing and algorithmic techniques for solving a set of challenging applied computational geometry problems arising in modern medicine and medical imaging. New models and algorithms will also be devised for solving a number of theoretical geometric problems.
