Mentoring undergraduate students presents unique challenges, and can produce rich rewards for both the student and the mentor.  In this interactive session, you will:

-        Identify the goals and characteristics of healthy mentor/mentee relationships.

-        Apply principles of good mentoring to a concrete action plan.

Kristi Rudenga

Kaneb Center for Teaching and Learning

Kristi Rudenga is the Assistant Director for Graduate Student Programs in the Kaneb Center for Teaching and Learning. She works with graduate students, postdocs, and faculty to develop and improve their teaching and mentoring.  Kristi has a PhD in neuroscience and teaches "Food and the Brain" as well as the Moreau First Year Experience at the University of Notre Dame. Her current interests include STEM education, mentorship, and graduate student professional development.
