Graduate Life in Engineering at Notre Dame

The University of Notre Dame, the city of South Bend and the region of northwest Indiana are great places to work, explore the outdoors, sports, and recreation, enjoy arts and culture, and raise a family. Financial support: Most research graduate students at Notre Dame receive 12-month stipends, health insurance, and full-tuition scholarships. Increased stipends also are available for doctoral students in the College of Engineering who are recipients of external grants, awards and fellowships that contribute a substantial portion to their annual stipend.

Graduate Society of Women in Engineering (Grad SWE)

The Notre Dame Society of Women Engineers (SWE) gives support, guidance and recognition to women engineers and engineering students. Grad SWE — the graduate student section of the larger society — is dedicated to promoting the success of women in engineering as a positive force for quality of life and the value of diversity.

International Students and Scholars

The Notre Dame Office of International Students and Scholars (ISSA) works to ensure that international students and scholars transition to life at Notre Dame seamlessly. Once you reach campus, ISSA connects international undergraduates, graduate students, spouses, visitors, and others with each other to learn from and befriend one another.
