Areas of Interest

Professor Rehberg’s interests are in interactive computer graphics, video game development, and computational geometry with an emphasis in tools development and game engine architecture. These topics extend into high-performance computing, parallelism, systems programming, physics simulation, projective and differential geometry, numerical analysis, user experience, and human-computer interaction.

His objectives in these domains are to explore refinements and new approaches to enhance the performance, scalability, and usability of interactive software under real-time constraints. These objectives are motivated by the intermix of research and applied arts required to build compelling and immersive virtual worlds.
