Panel Discussion: Navigating Careers in Computer Science and Engineering

3:30 p.m.–4:45 p.m., October 2, 2025   |   303 Cushing Hall of Engineering

The CSE Department invites you to a dynamic panel discussion. This event brings together distinguished faculty members and graduate students who will share their diverse journeys, lessons learned, and candid perspectives on building a career in computer science and engineering.

From securing internships and entering industry roles to applying for faculty positions and launching research labs, the panel will provide a rare behind-the-scenes look at the decisions, challenges, and opportunities that shape professional growth in our field. Our six panelists will address essential questions that graduate students and early-career researchers often face through personal stories and practical advice. Topics will include how to prepare for academic versus industry career paths, how to build strong interdisciplinary collaborations, and how to manage time.

Join us for an engaging conversation!
